Mr. Kohei Ozawa

Regression behavior of poly-lactic acid manufactured by fused filament fabrication for hybrid rocket propulsion

Mr. Kohei Ozawa is studying the combustion behavior of solid fuels for closed-loop control of hybrid rocket propulsion.
He published his results in the following paper in the Science and Technology of Energetic Materials.
In the paper titled "Regression behavior of poly-lactic acid manufactured by fused filament fabrication for hybrid rocket propulsion", he demonstrated advanced closed-loop control of hybrid rocket propulsion and investigated the basic fuel burn behavior of polylactic acid fuel.
He found that there was a difference in the amount of combustion due to the difference in the angle between the direction of fuel layer formation and the direction of oxidizer flow.
Mr. Kohei Ozawa's research results are highly evaluated and have contributed greatly to the Japan Explosives Society, and he is worthy of the Japan Explosives Society Encouragement Award.
