Abstract

After reviewing the characteristics of 3-dimensional (3-D) FCT (Flux Corrected Transport) Euler scheme from the viewpoints of both strengths and limitations, this paper certifies that the present method enables us effectively to simulate the distance attenuation effect of the peak overpressure and the impulse after the high-explosive (HE) detonation on the ground surface up to around the scaled distance of 20 m·kg-1/3 by comparing several experimental results including domestic and foreign data. Especially, the present methodology is applicable to considerable large-scale problems even by using current ordinary personal computers, and it also suggests the feasibility of complicated 3-D fluidstructure interaction analyses in the very near future.
